Regina Marie Young is a PhD Candidate at the University of Mississippi. Her scholarship is located at the confluence of labor studies, ecocriticism, racial capitalism, and the health humanities. She excavates the impact of industrial labor on the body in industrial spaces, with particular interest and investment in coal mining narratives. Her work has appeared in ISLE: Interdisciplinary Studies in Literature and Environment, About Place, and FOLK Magazine, with a forthcoming article in Mississippi Quarterly.
